Privacy Policy

Mock Tests (tailor-it.me/mock-tests) is run by Tailor-It, run by Yashraj Vasishtha, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use Mock Tests, why, and your choices. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name if you give it or sign in with Google (Google shares your name and email with us — nothing else). Your account is created the first time you sign in, and we email you to confirm it.
- Mock Test 1 without signing up: you can start it as a guest. We keep your test under a guest ID in the sign-in cookie. To see your result you give us your email, confirmed with a code, and it becomes your account. Guest tests without an email are deleted after 60 days.
- How you found us: if you came from a link that names its source (for example Instagram), we note that source with your first test, to learn which posts help students find us.
- Your tests: the answers you save, which questions you marked, and how long you spent on each question.
- Payments: your payment code, the UPI reference number (UTR) if you give it to us, the amount and your email. We never see your bank account, card or UPI PIN — you pay in your own UPI app.
- Mistake reports you send about questions.
- Technical records: your IP address, briefly, to stop abuse (kept for up to 2 days); a log of emails we send you (kept 30 days); records of errors and of account events such as sign-ups and payments, to fix problems (kept 90 days); and a log of requests to our servers: the time, the page, what was done (for example "started Mock Test 3"), your device type and your approximate location (city, region and country, worked out from your connection; we don't store your IP address), to fix problems and prevent abuse (kept 30 days).
Why we use it
- To sign you in and keep your tests, scores and reports.
- To work out typical times and question statistics. These use everyone’s answers combined and never show who answered.
- To check payments and unlock your account.
- To send you sign-in codes, a welcome email when your account is created, payment emails and account notices. We do not send marketing emails without asking.
- To stop misuse and keep the service running.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who helps us run the service
- Supabase — database, stored in Mumbai, India.
- Vercel — web hosting; our server code runs in Mumbai. Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies.
- Resend — sends our emails.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
These providers process data for us under their own security terms. Some are based outside India.
Our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube posts
We post practice questions to our own Instagram account, Facebook Page and YouTube channel (@Tailor-It) with automated tools. On YouTube we use YouTube API Services only to upload videos to our own channel and to comment and reply on our own videos. When we reply to a comment, we keep only that comment's ID, so we never reply twice; we don't keep your name, your comment or anything about your YouTube or Google account. YouTube is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can see and remove apps' access to a Google account at Google security settings.
Cookies and storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. It cannot be read by scripts on the page. Your browser also remembers your theme and your last-used product on your own device.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and test history until you delete your account. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, even after an account is deleted, but without the link to your account.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account any time: Account → Delete my account. This removes your tests, answers and scores.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by writing to the grievance contact below.
- Mock Tests is meant for people aged 18 or over.

Changes
